The main props we would have used would be the clothesline, the bucket, and the house. There would be certain design and color schemes which would be mainly associated to those scenes. To make sure the audience will be in the appropriate mood for each scene, we will have to change the lighting, choose the proper colors, and propose a set design to the director which will meet his needs.įilipa Ferreira and I proposed that we should have six different main designs: Kansas, Oz (Countryside), Poppy Field, the Wiz’s Throne Room, the Wicked Witch’s Castle, and Emerald City.
On this journey, Dorothy meets the Tin Man, the Lion, and the Scarecrow and fights Evilene, the Wicked Witch of the West, and finally goes back home with the help of the Wiz(ard) of Oz. “The Wiz” is a musical very similar to the movie, “The Wizard of Oz” in which the main character, Dorothy, is whisked away to Oz, a magical place where she must return from.
